I'm going to immerse myself in Spanish language and Mexican culture for five weeks! I'll keep you up to date through this blog, and pictures if I can figure out how to post them!

The plant that ate Puebla
This is Eduardo, from my house, in the garden with this little cactus that grew a giant flower this week. Look!
This is it. It looks carnivorous.
Up close. Looks like Disney grew it.
That cactus has been there for 12 years, and never grew anything. Now look at this flower. Also, look how small the plant is, and how big the flower is!
No one here is talking of hockey. It´s all soccer with some championship or another. Did you know that there were some miners from Cornwall who came here to work in the mines, and brought pasties and soccer to Mexico? True! The flower is mongo!
Wow! They have a beautiful garden & their cactus flower is amazing!
ReplyDeleteAre you going to go to the cantina & watch the Red Wings (wingos rojos)?
That's a dang big flower! Gee. Does it eat stuff, like chihuahuas?
ReplyDeleteAll I can think of is "Feed me, Seymour!" Thanks for the great photos and commentary!
ReplyDeleteI am thinking that the flower grew b/c of the Mary,Mary visiting who is watching the garden grow...
