We´ve discovered a new coffee shop around the corner from school. It´s very chi chi, or as they say here ¨fresa.¨ It is in a very old building with arches and high ceilings and crumbling stone, and has mod tables with glass tops and an old european looking coffee maker. Best of all, they serve Illy coffee! Attached to it is an art gallery.
The man who owns it is of a certain age, dresses nicely and speaks English. He drives a jaguar. The shop is never very busy (mexicans drink milk in the morning, not coffee) and the gallery is never open. What are we to think? Could this be a front for something else? A hobby? A money laundering place? Who knows, but the pineapple is very friendly to all of us!
